Yellville City Park
We are involved in planting a bed in the City Park in Yellville, which is located close to the pavilion where we hold our Plant Sale. It can be enjoyed by visitors to the Park when sitting in the pavilion and cooling off in the summer heat, or when driving by.
It was already planted with some things when we took it over, and some things are still there, but much has been added to enhance eye appeal. There is a mixture of annuals and perennials, and is a nice display with something blooming throughout the season. It is maintained and new plants added when necessary.
The bed is in the shape of half a circle, and in June of 2017 a young couple had their wedding ceremony there.

May 17, 2025 Work Day
Our Master Gardener crew continued work on our Yellville City Park garden Saturday. We are in the midst of revitalizing this garden after removing a significant number of invasive "ditch lilies" that took over. We planted some new butterfly bushes, lantana 'Miss Huff', zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers for summer color. With a fresh layer of mulch and the recent addition of a new irrigation system, this garden should be looking pretty in a few weeks!
April 12, 2025 Spring Cleanup
We had a very productive workday at the Yellville City Park garden on Saturday morning removing "ditch lilies" which we will replace with new flowers soon! Then we had our monthly Master Gardener meeting at the Fairgrounds and potted up a bunch of succulents in pretty pots for our big Plant & Bake Sale this coming Friday!!!
